Hijack

Idris Elba returns for a second season of Hijack, playing his character Sam Nelson, and yU+co return in our role as title designers. Season one focused on an airplane hijacking, but this time Sam is trying to foil hijackers who take a Berlin commuter train hostage. We created a new show open that reflects the storyline, while still feeling related to the previous season’s open. We drew inspiration from the analog graphic maps used to track trains within the show, and reinterpreted those graphics for the main title design. The criss-crossing train lines layer and build until a silhouette of Sam walks through the complex web, leading us into the main title formed by layered parallaxing train graphics.
