MARY POPPINS RETURNS

For director Rob Marshall’s sequel to the 1964 classic Mary Poppins, we created a customized Disney logo, an opening overture title sequence, and end credits. The overture and end credits were a tribute to the art of the legendary Peter Ellenshaw, a special effects artist who created matte paintings for the original Mary Poppins. We created new paintings that capture the feeling of his work from the classic film. These new paintings were combined with some original Ellenshaw works, and a custom font that we designed, to evoke the magical feeling of Mary Poppins’ world. The Disney logo animation was also personalized, setting it in merry old England to get things started.
