Flex, a global manufacturing giant based in Silicon Valley, asked us to co-create a web series as part of their digital rebranding campaign. The goal was to produce engaging content featuring conversations with creative industry leaders and bring awareness to the wave of smart technologies that is connecting and transforming every part of our world. Taking this direction, we came up with the title “Connected Conversations.”
Working with Flex’s team, yU+co helped shape and brand this innovative series from it’s inception, writing and producing 15 episodes to date, with each 10 minute episode launching on Flex’s website and Youtube. The ongoing production has not only honed our ability to craft longer-form narratives, but has also taken us around the world to such forward-thinking conferences as the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Digital-Life-Design Conference in Munich and Fortune Brainstorm Tech in Aspen.
We shot interviews with pioneers like David Kenny (GM, IBM Watson), Andy Page (former President, 23andMe), and Tina Brown (Editor-in-Chief, the Daily Beast) that explore how new innovations can improve our lives through “a smarter, more connected world.” Hosted by Michael Mendenhall, Chief Marketing Officer & Chief Communications Officer for Flex, these inspiring exchanges provide concise, yet enlightening, insights on the future of information, artificial intelligence and how technology is profoundly disrupting traditional business models.
With new episodes on the way, the show has more than lived up to its considerable ambitions. We live in a time where change is occurring exponentially. Flex calls it “The Age of Intelligence” and Connected Conversations gives viewers an inspiring peek into what is happening now and the infinite possibilities that await us.
